more than just ice cream.
I went to more than just ice cream for lunch.
I had jerk chicken that was just really grilled chicken. who cares i really just went for the ice cream.
also, my friend put this song in my head.
unrelated. lust for life, iggy pop. remember trainspotting? that was a good skinny ewan time.
Scrambled eggs for dogs.
My dog Oliver is on a hunger strike because we adopted him another dog friend and he’s all, wtf is this sharing nonsense?
So this morning I woke up at 6:30 am to scramble my DOG an egg. yes, i’m that person, but he was psyched.
The wise internet tells me this is A – Ok! thank god for the authority of ‘askville‘.
He’s a prince, he is.

I went to Gigi to celebrate Kyle Kendrick’s win last night. Kidding, it was near my office and a coworker wanted to go out. But anyway, food was decent and it was cool and relaxing inside. Donnybrook stout was the drink and it is on tap is creamy and smoooth and pairs well with Turkey Club Sandwiches.
Oh and also, links and such: Gigi is a restaurant in Old City on Market street that is owned by Kyle Kendrick’s wife Stephanie. Who is a star in her own right.

salsamole! guacamato!
Ingredients for my amazing Salsamole!
2 medium roma tomatoes or any tomato that isn’t too juicy.
1 avacado
1/2 candy onion or a white onion that doesn’t stink toooooo much
1 squeeze of cilantro paste 
seriously, fresh cilantro is great, but goes bad so fast. so the tube stuff is nice.
1 shake of course salt. chunky chunky salt.
1 squeeze of lime juice (i like either fresh lime or the sweeter key lime juice, but regular is fine)
if you want to go CRAZY you can also add a dash of liquid smoke.

Taco night!
Tonight, dear friends is taco night!
Ground turkey awaits crunchy shells.
I have garden fresh peppers, tomatoes, and store bought onions and cilantro paste to make a little salsa with.
alls i need is the cheese and sour cream, and 3 amigos on dvd!
Atlantic city food and wine festival follow up
Thanks to Ford’s Fordcast tour for partnering with me to attend the 2011 atlantic city food and wine festival event, and for giving me a pair of tickets for one of my lucky readers, Rowhomeeats
The festival had a TON of wine and was packed with hungry hungry people. There were lots of local chefs and restaurants and it was quite a scene.
The fordcast tent was set up at the entrance and there were 3 cars on display as well as fun interactive stations like a photo booth and live tweet aggregator.

The ford focus is a cool city car with a ton of technogadgets. I was lucky enough to participate in a video with them and when that comes out I will post it and you can see the neat stuff for yourself!
