Have you had a lot of rain? When mine split, it’s a direct result of too much, too heavy rains all at once and then serious heat afterwards. You can still eat them, they taste fine.
i’m in the north east, Philadelphia, and it’s been pretty hot all summer w/ days of fast thunderstorms of rain. that could be the reason.
We have a lot of cracked tomatoes here in Seattle too. Usually it’s from large rainfall. Thanks for linking in to simple lives Thursday.
Thanks for linking the article. I have had huge problems this year with cracked tomatoes. I just started picking the tomatoes as soon as they start turning orange and letting them finish ripening on the counter. This seems to help.
